Raise your hand if you've ever had a dirty glass (or plate or serving utensil) that just wouldn't come clean so you left it in the dishwasher for load after load. Raise the other hand if you finally just gave up and threw it away.

I am also guilty of digging some old tupperware container of leftovers out of the back of the fridge, discovering it's gone feral, and just tossing the whole thing rather than trying to scrub the mold away.
Or, raise your hand if you just shrug your shoulders and put it in the cupboard anyway.

Not that anyone needs it, but everyone has my permisstion to throw away anything that is no longer sustains it's orginal purpose. How is that for "political correctness?" Yes, definitely, toss out the offending plate, glass, bowl or whatever. They make more, and it is probably time for something different anyway!!
