Whine flu

There has been a case of the swine flu reported in the town next to mine. Crap! That's where I buy my donuts! I think this might be the universe's subtle way of telling me "Those devils food cake donuts are not doing your ass any favors."

Apparently the person who has the swine flu has not even been hospitalized. That means either I have been greatly misinformed about how deadly the swine flu is or this person is lying about having swine flu so that they can keep all the chocolate cake donuts in the town for themselves.

Very clever swine flu patient. You've won this round. It won't keep me away forever though. I'm not the type to let a little (semi) deadly flu stand between me and chocolate baked goods.

One year ago today I had a run in with a spider and I was somehow included in Alltop.
Four years ago today pregnancy was making me crave candy.

My hubby just informed me that the powers that be have now changed their original estimate of the people who ACTUALLY have/had swine flu from 150 to 10. Chances are, this person doesn't actually have it. People are losing their minds over this thing! No donuts??? When will the madness end?? If I were you, I'd still buy the donuts. :) (shannon@livinginthegray.com)

I'm captivated by the appropriateness of that picture. Truly stunning. Then I went to the website listed at the top of the image and scrolled through the portfolio and got to the picture 4 below the one you used and now I need to find something with which I can wash my eyeballs.

Yeah from what I've heard the "swine flu" isn't any more dangerous than any other flu. Main concern is there are no vaccines for this strain so no one is protected and it could spread quickly.

I really don't want to get any flu much less one from nasty swine! :)

I believe the issue with the Swine flu is that it also impacts lungs? I thought that's what I had read on the CDC website, and that it usually lasts for 10 days or longer.

- Did you hear about the shooting by Tech college? The second suspect was picked up in Richmond... yikes.

You also might find this as funny as I did (If you make it to the end!)

--- How to combat the Swine Flu ---

Eat right! Make sure you get you get your daily dose of fruits and veggies. Take your vitamins and bump up your Vitamin C. Get plenty of exercise because exercise helps to build up your immune system. Walk for at least an hour a day. Go for a swim. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Wash your hands often and if you can't, wear a bottle of anti-bacterial soap around your neck. Get lots of fresh air. Open windows or, if you don't have any windows, then dig a few holes in the basement. Get plenty of rest and forget about sex. But if you must have intercourse, then use double condums. And wear a mask while having sex. Try to eliminate as much stress from your life as possible, OR.......you can take the doctor's office approach. Think about it. What's the first thing that they do before they give you a shot? They clean your arm with alcohol because alcohol kills germs.
So put on your mask and walk to the liquor store (exercise). Squeeze some lime juice in you Rum 'n Coke (fruit) and some celery in you Bloody Mary (veggies). Drink on the patio bar (fresh air). Get drunk, tell jokes (relieves stress and then pass out (rest). The way I see it, if you keep your alcohol level up, the germs can't get at you!

If they haven't been to the hospital, how do they even know they have swine flu? They just declared that they have it? I think I have it too. I need to take a nap. ;)
