Mo' housework, mo' problems

Two minutes, she was out of my sight for two minutes. I was just loading the dishwasher. I was trying to clean.

"Look!" she proudly exclaimed. "I draw round and round!"

I put her on the time out step right away. Then I pulled her right back off so that I could take pictures of her. Does that make me a bad mom? Come on! Who could be mad at a face like this?

The moral of this story? I shouldn't even bother trying to clean the house. My attempts to get things in order just led to another mess for me to clean up. From now on we'll just live in squalor. Yeah, that's the ticket.

Ain't it the truth - boy we have that same problem here! Wish I could tell you it gets better...but, with a 9 year old, almost - so far it has not - the messes just get BIGGER! LOL

We gotta enjoy EVERY moment...one day they'll be calling us and asking us how to get marker off the wall. :O)

Squalor really is the ticket -welcome aboard! I have two messy, cute wee people over here too so I feel your pain. She is freakin' adorable, isn't she?

I'm always so relieved when other people's children do the same things that mine do - over and over and over again. Thanks for making me feel better about my squalor! You're the best, and your girl is wicked cute!

What a gorgeous girl! And I plan on having a wall specifically for drawing on. Half of it will be done in chalkboard paint and the other half just regular. That way they can go crazy on MY terms! :D

AHHH...........that brings back memories. Her father did the same thing up and down both sides of the hallway in our house with pencil (thank goodness it was not with a pen or permanent marker). I left it up for about a week, and then used Fantastik (do they still make that??) to get it off. She is so adorable (but I think I might me a bit biased!) Squalor with little kids is the norm...just go with the flow...it is much easier on everyone!! I always said that I'd keep the bathroom and kitchen clean for health reasons and the rest was optional about once every three months! We all survived, and you will too!! Love to all of you...Grandma Judy

I could never be mad at a face like that.

I gave up cleaning years ago. Now I just shuffle the mess around.
